US based outsourcing & technology firm TaskUs announced the opening of its newest location in Cali, Colombia with a virtual recruiting event last Friday. Bilingual candidates interested in employment may contact the company here.
TaskUs already operates technology hubs in locations such as the United States, Europe, Taiwan, and India, and this marks the company’s first foray into South America. Launching this month, the company will initially employ a 100% telework remote working modality. However once open, TaskUs says the site will offer recreation and relaxation areas, collaborative spaces and fun zones with gaming equipment and kiosks.
TaskUs offers innovative work-life balance policies like meeting-free Fridays, no-chat weekends, and the requirement of a “truly unplugged” vacation.
“On behalf of Invest Pacific, we celebrate the start of operations of TaskUs in Cali. Their arrival reassures the investment confidence that has been consolidating in our city-region and reinforces Cali’s position as a global services hub. Our city and region has a recognized vocation for services, a strong business network, and qualified human talent. This is part of the reason why we have more than 42 international service and technology companies operating in our territory,” said Alejandro Ossa Cárdenas, executive director at Cali and the Valle del Cauca department’s investment promotion agency, Invest Pacific.
TaskUs offers additional wellness and employee support programs including on-staff life coaches, and round-the-clock psychological and psychiatric services for free. Interested candidates may contact TaskUs here.
“Cali is Colombia’s hidden gem! Whether you are looking for birdwatching, salsa dancing lessons, sports, or even best-of-class outsourcing operations, Cali is the place to be as the strategic development node of southwest Colombia.” said Guillermo Ulloa, vice president of operations for TaskUs Colombia. “TaskUs’ expansion to Cali represents a continuation of its mission to serve and help our clients.
