Concentrix Opens Medellín Contact Center, To Employ Over 2,000 Bilingual Agents
California based Concentrix has selected Medellín for a new contact center operation, with plans to hire 600 employees in 2022, and 1,500 more the following year. Concentrix, which already has operations elsewhere in Colombia, will join other contact center operations with Medellín operations, such as Teleperformance, Konecta, Webhelp / OneLink, and UPS.
The new facility is on Las Vegas Avenue in the Ciudad Del Rio business district, and serves clients such as Macy’s and Etraveli Group.
Concentrix has 290,000 employees in 40 countries.
“We chose Medellin because it’s the innovation center of Colombia, in addition to its talent and willingness to provide an excellent customer service experience; we came to contribute to the socioeconomic growth of this city by joining the technological and digital development that characterizes the capital of Antioquia” said Concentrix’s country manager in Colombia, Clara María Bernal (above photo).
“In Medellín we are very happy with the arrival of Concentrix, one of the largest companies in the world in the BPO sector. This North American capital company will generate 600 new jobs this year, and they have a projection for 2023 of 1,500 new jobs. This is a great opportunity for hundreds of young people in Medellin and is the confidence that has been generated in recent years in a city where flourishing is possible,” said Jonathan Ballesteros, director of Local and International Relations of local investment promotion agency ACI Medellín.
