Viva Air Inks Distribution Deal With Amadeus For Air Tickets
Colombian low-cost airline Viva Air and travel technology platform Amadeus (MSE: AMS) have announced a distribution deal today whereas Viva Air will make its domestic and international flights, as well as negotiated fares, bookable in all Amadeus points of sale. The fares will be available first in Colombia, Peru and the United States, but will in time roll out to other countries where the Amadeus network has a footprint.
Travel agents and corporate customers using Amadeus will have direct access to the availability of their flights and seats, leading to an expected increase in the sale of Viva Air in these markets.

We are confident that partnering with Amadeus will allow us to offer more targeted and relevant offers to our customers,” said Felix Antelo, the CEO of Viva Air Group.
Viva Air Group, developed by Irelandia Aviation, is one of the leading low-cost airlines in the region, transporting more than 4 million passengers per year. Viva Air currently operates 25 destinations in three markets: 12 in Colombia, 12 in Peru and 1 in the United States, having as a Group 31 national routes and 4 international routes The group continues to expand and is increasing its fleet with 50 Airbus 320’s over the coming years.
