US business process outsourcing (BPO) provider TaskUs, Inc. (Nasdaq: TASK) has announced that it will be growing its presence in Colombia with a new site in Medellín, adding to the center it already operates in Cali.
The New Braunfels, Texas-based company, which employs nearly 50,000 people across 13 countries and specializes in providing outsourced digital services and customer experiences, expects to launch its Medellín location, called “The Gallery,” in September.

“The cultural richness and dynamic spirit of Medellín, along with the warm and welcoming nature of its people, make it the perfect location for our expansion,” said Pablo Gonzalez, incoming vice president of operations in Medellín, in a statement. “We are excited to collaborate with the local community, embrace its unique culture, and contribute to the city’s economic growth.”
The company’s 380-seat office in Cali, called “The Arena,” has enjoyed significant growth in workload and headcount since it opened in June 2022, according to TaskUs, and serves global clients in healthcare, financial services, digital commerce, and fashion. TaskUs was honored earlier this year by the Colombian American Chamber (AmCham) and the Colombian Presidential Agency of International Cooperation (APC) for supporting youth employment in Cali and the region.
“Colombia is one of our fastest growing regions, and we are quickly adding capacity to meet the demand,” said Stephan Daoust, COO of TaskUs. The executive also lauded his colleague who will be heading new site in Medellín, saying that Gonzalez is the “perfect leader to drive our growth and success” and “brings years of experience in customer operations and service management with business process outsourcers and large, innovative global brand names.
