Starting today, and running from December 5-7, Expodefensa 2023 will take over Corferias convention center and exhibition hall in Bogotá to showcase the latest from the Latin American security and defense industry.
According to organizers, Expodefensa 2023 will focus on new technologies, equipment, and solutions in security and defense while bringing together a wide range of institutional and economic participants, including various ministers of defense, ministers of security, chiefs of staff, military branch leaders, and heads of governmental departments.
Other topics to be addressed in speeches, lectures, and academic sessions will include cybersecurity, information and communication systems, environmental risk management, protection of the marine coastline, and prevention of natural disasters.
In all, Expodefensa 2023 will include more than 200 exhibitors from 28 countries, at least 82 official delegates, and a host of manufacturers, logistics operators, and service companies in search of contracts and alliances.
“Expodefensa 2023 not only focuses on security and defense, but also stands out for its positive impact on civil society,” said the organizers in an announcement. “The academic offering of the event will include 17 presentations with international panelists and national experts, addressing solutions in multiple domains (land, air, sea, space and cyberspace) for strategic security issues and defense policies.”
“This event,” they continued, “”aimed at the security, defense and citizen protection sector focuses on four main axes adapted to the demands of the global market: international reach, technology and innovation, business platform and planning. Expodefensa 2023 promises to be a significant milestone in the region’s security and defense landscape.”
