Avianca to Add Five Domestic Flights Within Colombia Starting August 17
On August 17, Avianca will launch five new routes within Colombia, directly connecting Cali to mutliple locations that often require stopovers and allowing passengers throughout the country more options to reach the Caribbean island tourist hotspot of San Andrés.
Cali will get three new routes: a direct daily flight to San Andrés, a direct flight to Santa Marta four times per week, and a direct flight to Bucaramanga three times per week. The other two routes will connect San Andrés to Cartagena (three times per week) and Medellín (four times per week).
Overall, the Bogotá-based carrier will be adding 3,000 seats per week, with each flight being operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 150 passengers, including 12 business class seats.
“With these new direct flights, we want to facilitate connectivity across the regions of Colombia while encouraging the development of San Andrés, Santa Marta, and Cartagena as tourist destinations for Colombians,” said Hernán Rincón, executive chairman of Avianca.
