Viva Air Relaunches Medellín, Colombia – Lima, Peru Nonstop Flights

After a hiatus of almost 7months without commercial flights between Medellín, Colombia and Lima, Peru, low-cost carrier Viva Air is restarting nonstop flights between the two Andean cities.

The airline says that it expects to transport over 1,000 passengers on this route during the remainder of December, and projects 4,000 in January 2021 offering itineraries of three weekly flights every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Viva Air is re-launching this international route in addition to its Colombia – Miami flights with the airline’s new Airbus A320 NEO aircraft that have recently arrived in Colombia as part of a total order of 50 new aircraft, allowing the carrier to fly longer distances at a greater cost and fuel efficiency.
