Santos signed three new directives aimed to support technology development and innovation, including a tax break for certain software and training programs.
“Medellín has stood out as a pacesetter, not only in Colombia but in Latin America," said Natalia Martínez-Kalínina of the Cambridge Innovation Center.
"Places like this are important for Medellín because they are the starting point for innovation to become the main driver of the city’s economy," said María Fernanda Galeano.
"You need a bunch of other expertise around the table in addition to raw engineering talent," says Casnocha. "There is still work to be done in terms of the human capital."
