Sofia Vergara Launches New Perfume with Fragrance of Adored Colombian Lulo Fruit
Colombian actor and entrepreneur Sofia Vergara has added a new perfume to her wide business portfolio, Tempting Paradise by Sofia Vergara, that looks to capture scents of her homeland.
The Barranquilla-born icon’s new fragrance combines the popular Colombian fruit lulo with notes of clementine, magnolia, guava flower, coconut water, and sandalwood. An air of musk and peony have also been added to the mix.
“My idea of paradise is relaxing on a tropical island, surrounded by the familiar scent of exotic flowers and fruits.” – Sofia Vergara
“My idea of paradise is relaxing on a tropical island, surrounded by the familiar scent of exotic flowers and fruits,” said Vergara in a statement. “I created Tempting Paradise to allow a woman to escape to her own tropical mini-vacation.”
Vergara, whose star status has ascended to make her the highest-paid women on television for her role on the Emmy-winning sitcom Modern Family, worked to create the fragrance alongside Laurent Le Guernec, senior perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF).
“While in Colombia, I was intrigued by Sofia’s favorite fruit, the lulo fruit, a complex fruit that was juicy, sweet and sparkling,” said Le Guernec.
The perfume will be available this month and cost $60 USD for a 3.4-ounce bottle or $36 USD for a 1-ounce bottle.

In addition to pitching perfume, Vergara has built a vast business empire through business ventures including Latino-focused digital media firm Raze, underwear sales company EBY, licensing her own image, and speaking engagements.
“I believe the most powerful way to have an impact is through business,” Vergara told CNN Money last year.
