Praxis Launches Electronic Filing App For Compliance, Document Management
Praxis, the multinational provider of IT and consulting solutions to the banking, finance and insurance sector, has announced its development of a new electronic records solution that turns mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets into data capture devices that can be used for documents, forms, electronic signatures, biometrics, and other input sources.
The innovation hails from Praxis’ Mobile Solutions Management practice, which is responsible for applying innovation to corporate customer needs over iOS and Android platforms.
“Today, a digital solution represents an efficient method for managing information, because the management of files and transmission of these to different business units is simplified when compared to traditional means of handling and physical delivery,” says Cesar Martinez, a manager of Mobile Solutions with Praxis.
Integrated with a web interface, the app is deployable on both Android and iOS, and is capable of conducting transactions in real time. When no internet connection is available, the app will record and store information in an encrypted form so that synchronization can take place once a connection has been re-established.
“The exponential growth in IT requires companies to implement mobile solutions that are suited to the latest trends, platforms, and customer needs. Especially in light of data indicating, according to IDC (International Data Corporation), that the market for smartphones in the near future is expected to grow by 68%, leading to an increase in the use of mobile applications, and thence, to the growth of the use and application of electronic records,” adds Martinez.
