HP Continues to Roll Out Its Top Devices and Printers in Colombia
One of the world’s leading computer and device-makers continues to introduce more of its premier products to the Colombian market, rolling out two new offerings in Bogotá this month. The first came a few weeks ago when HP Inc. threw a lavish launch party in the capital for its HP Elite x3, a smartphone by day that users can dock at their workstation to turn into a desktop.
By running Windows 10 Mobile, the Elite x3 is the latest in a series of industry products that fall into the “omnidevice” category aimed at millions who have grown to dread the changing interfaces all day long while going back and forth from computer to iPad to phone. So the Elite x3 attempts to do it all, being more powerful than a phone but more practical than carrying around a laptop all day. HP believes that this is the functionality more people want today when work and life are increasingly the same thing.

“We are very happy to introduce this new mobility device and solution called HP Elite x3 that is going to revolutionize the corporate segment in Colombia — and the world — with the capability of having a smartphone, a laptop and a desktop PC in only one device that defies all the paradigms on size and power,” said Raul Ramirez of mobility business development for HP Inc. Colombia.
Last week, the company also introduced its latest forward-thinking printer. Billed as a DeskJet “all-in-one” solution that provides printing, copying, and scanning, its real selling points are size and device integration.
According to the Palo Alto-California-based company, the HP DeskJet 3775 is half the size of any all-in-one inkjet printer in its class and is specifically designed for digital natives who want to print from their phone or tablet. Even without a network, phones can connect through WiFi Direct and easily manage print options from the HP All-in-One Remote app.
These new launches follow up on the company introducing its premier line of laptops, desktops, and tablets into Colombia this summer. Now, throughout the country, Colombians can find HP’s top business and personal options, including the HP Spectre and the HP Envy All-In-One PC.
“Definitively we are reinventing all of our products according to what our consumers are requiring nowadays,” said Mateo Figueroa, the Colombia country manager of HP Inc. “This year we launched the lightest PC on the market, the first 3-in-1 device in the world, and now we are launching the smallest multifunctional in the world. Those are actions that reveal our DNA of reinvention and innovation in terms of design and engineering without compromising the quality and performance that characterizes our products and solutions.”
