OAG: Viva Air #1 In On-Time Performance As Of May 2019

The Official Aviation Guide of The Airways’ (OAG) ‘On-Time Performance Airlines’ report has recognized Viva Air as the most punctual airline in Colombia and the third in Latin America and the Caribbean with 92% punctuality, as of May 2019. This statistic was derived from Viva Air’s total of 2,107 flights in the past year.

The OAG ranking,  whose percentage of punctuality corresponds to flights that leave or arrive within the first 15 minutes of its stipulated schedule, is made through a global network of aerial data that includes extensive information about the programming and the state of flights of more than 900 airlines and more than 4,000 airports in different markets.

“These results fill us with pride because this demonstrates the great effort we are making to meet our value proposition of being the region’s leading low cost airline, with the best prices,” said Felix Antelo CEO and president of Viva Air. In addition, Antelo added that this recognition was earned by all the professionals and staff of Viva Air and to the growth attributed to the purchase of 50 new Airbus A320 aircraft, of which 12 have been received, contributing to the expansion plan.
