We are delighted to inform that Vostock Capital team has prepared a report called Desalination projects Latin America. The report includes all Latin America projects for desalination plants.
The report was prepared prior to the 4th International Conference and Exhibition Desalination Latin America that will be held during two days in Santiago de Chile, March 29th and 30th, the event will bring together heads of all desalination operators from Latin America to discuss project development in modern economic realities.
Among the projects listed in the report:
SPENCE -DESALINATION PLANT AND INDUSTRIAL WATER (Chile):
BHP is aiming to eliminate the use of water from aquifers in Chile by 2030. At Spence, the desalination water plant located approximately 12 km northeast of the locality of Mejillones will have a capacity of 1,000 liters per second.
SANTO DOMINGO MINE (Chile):
Desalination plant located in the sector of the concentrator plant. Its desalination rate is 1,865 m3/day and will provide desalinated water for smaller processes, the higher consumption will be by seawater directly (without desalinating). Expected to begin operations in 2023.
This desalination plant is part of the Provision of Sanitation Services for the Southern Districts (PROVISUR) project and is the first experience of seawater desalination as a source of drinking water supply in Peru.
The project, which will benefit some 100,000 residents during the summer, includes the infrastructure for the improvement and expansion of the drinking water supply and sanitary sewerage service (230 km of pipes), a new wastewater treatment plant (PTAR) of 35,000 m3 / day and the rehabilitation of two other existing.
LA PAZ, BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR (Mexico):
The project consists of the design, construction, equipment, operation, maintenance and exploitation of the desalination plant in La Paz, Baja California Sur, with a capacity of 200 l/s.
The project involves access and operation roads, direct marine catchment work, pipeline work to the plant, membranes, pumping plants, connections, delivery points, lines, storage and regulation tanks, power lines, implementation of service systems for contingencies, quality assurance, industrial safety and environmental protection
Please note that these and other upcoming projects will be presented during the International Conference and Exhibition “Desalination Latin America 2022 in Santiago de Chile, next March 29th and 30th , 2022.
