SPENCE -DESALINATION PLANT AND INDUSTRIAL WATER (Chile):
BHP is aiming to eliminate the use of water from aquifers in Chile by 2030. At Spence, the desalination water plant located approximately 12 km northeast of the locality of Mejillones will have a capacity of 1,000 liters per second.

SANTO DOMINGO MINE (Chile):
Desalination plant located in the sector of the concentrator plant. Its desalination rate is 1,865 m3/day and will provide desalinated water for smaller processes, the higher consumption will be by seawater directly (without desalinating). Expected to begin operations in 2023.

PROVISUR (Peru):
This desalination plant is part of the Provision of Sanitation Services for the Southern Districts (PROVISUR) project and is the first experience of seawater desalination as a source of drinking water supply in Peru.
The project, which will benefit some 100,000 residents during the summer, includes the infrastructure for the improvement and expansion of the drinking water supply and sanitary sewerage service (230 km of pipes), a new wastewater treatment plant (PTAR) of 35,000 m3 / day and the rehabilitation of two other existing.

LA PAZ, BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR (Mexico):
The project consists of the design, construction, equipment, operation, maintenance and exploitation of the desalination plant in La Paz, Baja California Sur, with a capacity of 200 l/s.
The project involves access and operation roads, direct marine catchment work, pipeline work to the plant, membranes, pumping plants, connections, delivery points, lines, storage and regulation tanks, power lines, implementation of service systems for contingencies, quality assurance, industrial safety and environmental protection
