Hoteles City Express Opened Largest Hotel of 2017 in Medellín

With the announcement that it will open three more properties before the end of the year, Mexico City-based Hoteles City S.A.B. de C.V. will hit a total of 135 locations and 15,200 rooms in 2017.

While nearly all of its 12 properties opened this year were in Mexico, its largest new location is the 140-room City Express Plus that launched in Medellín during third quarter. The hotel is located in the south of Colombia’s second largest city on Carrera 43A in the neighborhood of Los Balsos.

It’s latest two openings are the City Express Junior in the León Centro de Convenciones and City Express Tijuana Otay in Tijuana. Before the end of the year, the first guests will also be staying at the new City Centro Oaxaca, City Express Monterrey Lindavista and City Express Plus León Centro de Convenciones.

In addition, Hoteles City will open five more properties in the first quarter of 2018 in Mexico in the cities of Mexico City, Puebla, Chihuahua, Chiaps, and Nayarit.
