With its flights to the US & Canada, Arajet seeks to be a major airline connector between Colombia and North America.

Arajet is adding US & South American connections, making the Dominican Republic a low-cost airline intercontinental transport hub.

In 2023, 305,655 Colombian tourists visited the country, and in 2024, the figure grew to 335,819.

Last weekend, Arajet added routes between Medellín, Cartagena & Bogotá, Colombia to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The Dominican low-cost carrier will ramp up frequencies between Bogotá, Medellín, and Cartagena to Santo Domingo over the next two months.

Globally, only Starlux Airlines beat out the top two carriers in the Americas: Lynx Air and Arajet.

Previous startup airline of the year winners include Play Airlines, Cobalt Air, and Air Seoul.

"We need the governments to work together to build the environment that will bring this capital, which is essential to developing aviation."

Tickets on sale now through the end of the month will have a base fare of only $7.37 USD in a nod to the carrier’s fleet of Boeing 737 Max 8 fleet of planes.

"We offer users the convenience of being able to reach their final destination buying everything under the umbrella of Arajet," said the low-cost Dominican airline.
