Jeannette Santacruz de la Rosa Named Legal Director of Superfinanciera
This month, Jorge Castaño Gutiérrez, the top financial regulation official in Colombia, named Jeannette Santacruz de la Rosa as the new legal director of the Financial Superintendence of Colombia (Superfinanciera).
Santacruz de la Rosa has already had a long tenure working for the Bogotá-based public agency, joining Superfinanciera more than 25 years ago. She has worked in various capacities, including advisor to the legal director, head of the banking legal division, and lawyer of the legal office.
Santacruz de la Rosa also teaches as a professor of financial legislation at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá.
She earned her law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, specializing in commercial law. She also studied administrative law at the Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
Castaño Gutiérrez took charge of Superfinanciera in May after an official appointment as the new head of the agency by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.
