San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia: The 1st Free African Town in The New World is Still Thriving!

Have you heard about San Basilio de Palenque, Colombia? What do you know about the town’s history as the first free settlement of Africans in The Americas? Established by fugitives in 1603, the town and its people, the Palenqueros are still thriving today, more than 400 years later!
