Interjet Launches New Route Between Medellín & Mexico City, Adding Options For North American Connectivity
Interjet Airlines is beginning service between Mexico and several South America destinations including Medellín, Colombia, Guayaquil, Ecuador and Lima, Peru. These new flights will serve both the business and leisure traveler expanding Interjet’s footprint into South America.
“South America is a growing and significant market for both business and leisure travel, said Julio Gamero, Interjet’s Chief Commercial Officer. “With our expanded service, passengers to and from these destinations can now have convenient connections in Mexico City to New York City, Chicago and Dallas/Ft. Worth in the U.S. along with easy connections to Toronto and Montreal in Canada,” he added.
Interjet’s new service to Medellín, Colombia begins June 5, 2019 and will operate using Airbus A320 aircraft seating 150 passengers. Round trip promotional fares between the U.S., Canada and Medellin, will start at $350.00 including taxes. These special fares with be available for purchase until June 30, 2019.
Interjet is headed by WIlliam Shaw, the founder and former CEO of Viva Colombia, now Viva Air.
