Innovari Names Manuel Arancibia To Head New Colombia Office
Energy technology provider Innovari has appointed Manuel Arancibia as president of Innovari Latin America in conjunction with the opening of its Colombia office. The expansion supports the growth of the company’s Latin American operations, and adds a local sales and technical support presence that the company deems critical to the launch of its Interactive Energy Platform (IEP) projects, such as its installation in Emcali, funded by a US Trade and Development Agency grant. Innovari provides electric generators and grid operators with grid load management and optimization technology.
“Bringing on Manuel and opening our Colombia office is yet another significant milestone for our company,” said Innovari CEO Chris Hickman. “We now have a strong local presence in the region to support our strategic initiatives and to meet the growing needs of our customers and the industry in Latin America.” Arancibia comes with a decade of business development, financial analysis and operational experience in the utility sector. Most recently, Arancibia worked with a Portuguese utility to expand their wind generation portfolio in the US from 6 to 30 wind farms, with 3,700 MW of electricity generation under management. He previously served as the director of energy sales and structuring for EDP Renewables North America and also for Exelon Generation Company.
“Our presence in Colombia underlines Innovari’s commitment to this fast developing market,” said Arancibia. “With commercial projects already underway on three continents, it’s an exciting time for me to join the company. I’m looking forward to working with Latin American utilities to deliver unprecedented reliability, efficiency and financial optimization across the energy value chain.”
