Health Prime Expands Operations in Medellín and Cali, Creating 1,000 Jobs
Health Prime, a U.S.-based company specializing in billing and medical practice optimization services, has announced the expansion of its global operations to Medellín and Cali, Colombia. This move is expected to create over 1,000 jobs in the country.
Founded in 2004, Health Prime has invested approximately $2 million in Colombia. The company is recognized for its role in revenue cycle management, providing advanced solutions aimed at enhancing operational and financial efficiency within the healthcare sector.
María Fernanda Galeano, Secretary of Economic Development for Medellín, highlighted the significance of Health Prime’s entry into the city. She noted that, beyond the financial investment in technological infrastructure, the establishment of the company is expected to generate high-quality jobs for local residents.
“The presence of this U.S. company supports the economic and social development of our region and reinforces Medellín’s standing as an attractive destination for international investment,” Galeano stated.
Jorge Lobo, Vice President of Health Prime for Latin America, emphasized that the company’s investment in Colombia focuses on technological infrastructure and staff training, positioning the country as a key location for medical billing services.
“Our expansion into Colombia underscores the importance of this emerging market in our global strategy, offering significant opportunities for both the company and local talent,” Lobo said. He added that Health Prime aims to continue its growth and strengthen its leadership position in the medical billing services sector across the region.
By establishing operations in Medellín, Health Prime plans to leverage local talent and Colombia’s competitive operational costs. The company has set a target of reaching 2,000 employees across Latin America, reflecting its commitment to economic development and job creation in the region.
