Grupo EPM Appoints Catalina María Cárdenas Álvarez as Corporate VP of User-Customer Experience Amid Restructuring
The Board of Directors of Empresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) approved the appointment of Catalina María Cárdenas Álvarez as the new Corporate Vice President of User & Customer Experience. This personnel change is a component of the Grupo EPM‘s ongoing corporate restructuring initiative aimed at consolidating its administrative structure at the senior level. Her professional history, spanning over 26 years, wass cited as a key factor in her selection to contribute to the development of EPM’s revised business model. This model is intended to centralize the commercial function and optimize potential customer value within EPM’s operations.
Cárdenas Álvarez holds a degree in Business Administration from Universidad EAFIT and a specialization in Marketing Management from CEIPA. Her career includes various strategic leadership roles, notably serving as the Undersecretary of Citizen Services within the District of Medellín local government.
This executive selection aligns with the organizational structure implemented by EPM on May 12, as the company works to strengthen its governance model, improve operational efficiency, and address current and projected challenges in the utility sector.
