Galizia Taps Sergio Rivera Jiménez To Head Aon Benfield Colombia

Aon Benfield, the global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor of Aon plc (NYSE:AON), has announced that Sergio Rivera Jiménez is the new CEO of Aon Benfield Colombia

Reporting to Alejandro Galizia, CEO of Aon Benfield Latin America, Mr. Rivera brings extensive re/insurance industry experience to his new role. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he most recently served as Executive Managing Director of Mapfre Assistance in Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific.

Prior to this position, Mr. Rivera was employed in leadership roles at Mapfre Colombia and Latin America. Mr. Rivera was educated as an industrial engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, and holds a MBA from the Instituto de Empresa de España.
