Colombian Exports Totaled Nearly $3 Billion USD in February, Up 8.3% Year-Over-Year
Colombian exports totaled $2.94 billion USD in February, up by 8.3% compared to the same month in 2017, according to recent data from the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).
While this represents a year-over-year increase, the monthly sum was the lowest since last June, when exports only amounted to $2.87 billion USD.
More than half of the February total, or $1.57 billion USD, came from the hydrocarbon sector, per DANE, The bulk of the remainder resulted from manufactured products ($621 million USD) and agricultural products, food, and beverages ($618 million USD).
The year-to-date results have been more positive, with the combined January and February exports valued hitting more than $6.26 billion USD.
This represents a 13.9% increase from the first two months of 2017.
