Cali Entrepreneurs Win Grupo Aval’s Fintech Challenge 2015 With Real Estate App Concept
Grupo Inmovis entered and won Colombian banking conglomerate Grupo Aval’s third annual financial technology innovation challenge, with their mobile real estate app Avanca. “How do I find the perfect house according to my budget?” is the question Inmovis hopes Colombians will answer with their Avanca app.
Christian Zapata, Diego Jimenez, Isabella Quintana, and Julián Cantillo are sure that their app is the platform that will permit Colombians to find new or existing homes. First, users complete the profile, then answer questions based on their financial capacity and habits. The app shows various houses, and whether financing is available. Then it allows users to begin the purchase and financing process from within the app.
The 4 team members of Inmovis claimed Grupo Aval’s top prize of $30 million pesos.
“Those were 48 very intense hours in which we saw great potential in the teams. There is a lot of talent, some very good ideas, and above all, a lot of desire to develop innovative projects. We feel very proud of the effort, and we hope to continue providing space, and as much, bringing opportunities to the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the country. We thank all the participants, the supporters of the project, and all that made this experience possible,” said Julián Abril, Grupo Aval’s director of Innovation.
14 teams competed in the 3rd edition of the Fintec Challenge. Each team consisted of 3 to 4 people who worked day and night on their financial technology proposition. To win, Inmovis beat out finalist competitors Roi Team, and Save Wear.
