Brasil’s Stefanini Buys Paipa, Boyaca Based ERP Integrator Sysman
São Paulo based Stefanini, a $1B global provider of IT outsourcing, applications management and consulting, and strategic staffing services, has announced that it has acquired Paipa, Boyacá based Government ERP provider Sysman SAS, which will change its name to Stefanini Sysman going forward.
In Colombia, Sysman has approximately 300 customers between municipalities, departments, and government owned enterprises. “By integrating with Stefanini, we hope to quintuple our number of customers over the next five years,” said Henry Puerto, current CEO of Sysman. Puerto will continue with the firm, as the head of Stefanini Sysman.
The new acquisition intends to solidify Stefanini’s presence in Colombia, growing 25% in the market over the last three years, and speaks to the economic strength of the country, according to Stefanini. In 2014, Colombia grew 4.6% and finished 2015 with a growth of around 3%.
“We are excited about the incorporation of Sysman and we expect further acquisitions in Latin America throughout the year,” said Marcelo Ciasca, CEO of Stefanini Latin America.
Stefanini’s first office opened in Colombia in 2004, and in 2011, it acquired the Colombian company Informatica & Technology, as its third international purchase. Currently, Stefanini has four offices located in the cities of Bogota, Medellin, Cali, and Barranquilla, and more than 850 Colombian employees.
“With the incorporation of Sysman by Stefanini, we hope to expand our market share in Colombia and increase the ERP offer for the Government vertical in other countries such as Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, and Mexico,” said Carlos Moreno, General Director of Stefanini Informatica & Tecnologia, a subsidiary of Stefanini in Colombia.
