Avianca Includes COVID-19 Test On 1st Class International Fares

Avianca Airlines has partnered with Colombian medical testing firm SynLab to offer COVID-19 testing at no extra charge for passengers flying from Colombia and paying for L or XXL (First Class) fares. The tests will be available at sites in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Manizales & Santa Marta. Test results can take up to 36 hours.

Avianca passengers who purchase standard and economy fares will be able to take the PCR or antigen tests at discounted rates. According to Avianca, to schedule a testing appointment, passengers must visit the SynLab website: https://www.synlab.co/viajeros/  and remain responsible for complying with the specific testing requirements of their travel destination. Avianca’s highest fare class of XXL includes home testing for up to six passengers at the same location.

This benefit began February 17 and Avianca says it will be extended as required by pandemic travel conditions.
