Motorcycle Industry Expert To Present Talk Friday In Medellín

One of the most influential journalists from Europe specializing in motorcycle motorsports will be at the Feria de las 2 Ruedas this week in Medellín. Jaime Alguersuari Tortajada will be holding a seminar for experts, press, aficionados and industry functionaries on May 22. The talk, titled “The miracle of Spain’s motorcycle success in sports and industry”

Alguersuari will give an emotional talk on Spain’s post-war motorcycle culture—a novel like tale about the industrialists who created legends like Bultaco, Montesa, Ossa, and Derbi. After a war that harvested a million lives, all seemed lost, but not the vision of those passionate entrepreneurs.

Alguersuari says that there are messages relevant for Colombia’s motorsports industry, with regards to developing the industry, potentially to a world championship level. Alguersuari is the editor and president of Grupo Alesport, which includes Editorial Alesport, and three companies dedicated to organizing and promoting motorsports events.
