Paula Bernal, Country Manager for IATA Colombia, attributed the sector’s growth to expanded seating capacity and reinforced traveler trust.

This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce of Barrancabermeja, Medellín and Cartagena.

BCG’s impact initiative, running since 2013, has supported over 40 social enterprises in Colombia.

The alliance’s initial phase involves selected EPM companies, targeting daily reductions of around 1.5 GWh, with plans for expansion across EPM’s subsidiaries.

The company’s 2024 exploration strategy includes geological mapping, trench sampling, and further soil and rock analyses.

Expansion plans include additional drilling in the Ramp Zone and surrounding areas, with assay results expected later this year.

Of the 14 departments included in the survey, 10 recorded positive production growth.

The new flights are expected to have a major impact in the connectivity between Colombia's capital and regions such as Chocó and Arauca.
