While the $450 million USD pledged by Obama has been approved, doubt remains as to whether the same level of assistance will keep arriving over the long term.

"Our pick is Colombia, for making peace in 2016. This was a colossal achievement."

This time, Santos will send the agreement to Congress for ratification and skip the public vote.
