Luis Gustavo Moreno Rivero, who led the attorney general's anti-corruption unit before his arrest in June, is expected to make his plea on Friday in Bogotá.

Luis Gustavo Moreno Rivera, who was Colombia's national director of anti-corruption, allegedly took a $10,000 USD bribe during a meeting in South Florida.

The eight suspects now in custody will be prosecuted for terrorism, homicide, kidnapping, theft, and conspiracy, said the attorney general.

Santos campaign manager Roberto Prieto denied the claims, saying that "never have I even shared a coffee" with the man who allegedly took the bribe.
