Colombia's "Comité Nacional de Paro," a coalition of labor unions and syndicalist groups has called for national strikes in Colombia for the 2nd time this year, after the government released a revised fiscal package.

“We are now part of the big leagues," said Colombian President Juane Manuel Santos.

President Santos said the goal of the negotiation is “to maintain the income of workers but also to avoid a negative effect" for those who earn the minimum.
