Despite women constituting roughly 50% of the population, their representation in STEM fields remains disproportionately low, particularly in Latin America.
The event is supported by a public investment of $9 billion pesos from the Medellín city government, which aims to promote literacy, writing, and oral traditions across the city’s 16 districts and five townships.
Tecnoglass voluntarily offset Scope 1 and 2 emissions for the years 2022 and 2023 by acquiring carbon credits issued by two projects located in Colombia, certified through the Cercarbono (Certified Carbon Standard) program.
The project, titled Fostering the Inclusion of Ethnic Groups in Business Value Chains, is a collaboration between USAID's Ethnic Board Program, ACDI/VOCA, and the ANDI Foundation.
"We can ensure the children, women, and communities served receive health care and nutritional services," said Michael Mizwa of Texas Children's Global.
