Santiago Giraldo will replace Joaquin Fernandez, who will move to a new financial role related to the company's operating subsidiaries.

Best known in Colombia for its Jumbo brand of hypermarkets, the company's large regional presence highlights its financial stability.

"The Ducati client wants something from the high end that other people don’t have," said Sergio Cordoba.

Though record-high revenue didn't lead to higher profits, Tecnoglass believes investment in “high-return projects" will yield good results throughout 2017.
