Colmena Seguros Awarded For Occupational Safety Efforts

During the ORP 2015 International Occupational Risk Prevention Congress in Santiago, Chile, Bogota based insurer Colmena Seguros was recognized for its efforts in occupational risk mitigation. ORP (Occupational Risk Prevention) is an international event seeking to reduce workplace labor risks with academic support and participation by universities in Italy, Canada, South Korea, Holland, Finland, and the United States, and is coordinated by the Universidad Politecnica de Cataluña, in Barcelona.

The purpose of the event is to serve as an international forum for the interchange of information on recent advances in occupational risk mitigation best practices in the areas of ergonomics, security, hygiene, occupational medicine, management, psycho-sociology, and training.

The Premio Internacional ORP 2015 award is characterized by the conference organizers as the top distinction awarded to businesses, entities, or professionals to recognize their work dedicated to promote and apply the values of maximizing workplace safety.

Colmena Seguros’ president, Rodrigo Paredes indicated that “This distinction reflects the seriousness, the development, and the backing of our activities, and at the same time recognizes the quality and service efforts of our organization. We receive this prize as a compliment to our strategy and responsible workplace policies.”

With this award, Colmena Seguros indicated that it hopes to promote itself as a partner of businesses in their strategic objectives regarding promoting productivity and wellness for their workers.

The 2016 event will be held October 5-7 in the Cartagena Hilton, Colombia.
