Noche de Blues, Jazz y Soul Comes to El Tesoro With US Vocalists and Big Band de Medellín

The Colombo Americano de Medellín and Teatro El Tesoro will present Noche de Blues, Jazz y Soul en El Tesoro on Friday, September 4, 2026, bringing US vocalists Jillian Harrison-Jones and Sandy Lomax together with the Big Band de Medellín for an evening of blues, jazz and soul.
The concert will feature classics including Misty, How High the Moon and Green Dolphin Street, alongside other selections from the blues and soul repertoire.
Jillian Harrison-Jones will serve as the principal artist. The US vocalist, choir director, educator and cultural ambassador has performed and worked with audiences in the United States and internationally. Sandy Lomax, a US jazz vocalist, will join her as a guest artist. Lomax has performed in venues across the United States and Europe and has also worked as an actress and producer.
The Big Band de Medellín will serve as the guest orchestra. Founded in 1988 by Dr. Ricardo Uribe and musicians Luis Uribe Espitia, Juancho Vargas and Jaime Uribe, the ensemble has performed at major venues in Medellín, including the Teatro Metropolitano. Its repertoire includes big-band jazz from the 1940s and 1950s, contemporary arrangements, Latin jazz and Colombian music.
The concert will take place at Teatro El Tesoro in Medellín at 7 p.m.
