Delta, LATAM to Add Flights from Atlanta to Cartagena, Bogotá, and Lima

Delta and LATAM are partnering to provide “joint venture routes” from Colombia and Peru to the United States, including several flights to Atlanta, which is home to Delta and the largest airport in the United States.

• Starting on December 22, Delta will begin operating three flights per week from Cartagena to Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport with a Boeing 737 aircraft that offers first class and “Delta Comfort+” service. 
• Delta, which already has daily service between Bogotá and Atlanta, will also add a second daily flight between the two cities on October 29. It will be served by a Boeing 757 aircraft and offer first class and “Delta Comfort+” service. 
• For its part, starting on October 29, LATAM Airlines Peru will introduce three weekly flights between Lima and Atlanta. The route will be served by a Boeing 767 aircraft that includes premium business class. This will mark LATAM’s first route between the two cities.
• LATAM Airlines Colombia will also add daily service, operating with an Airbus A320 that includes premium economy class, between Medellín and Miami starting on October 29.

“These exciting new routes, combined with our loyalty benefits, will provide even more ways to discover and do business in these dynamic markets,” said Alex Antilla, Delta’s vice president for Latin America. “Just as importantly, we look forward to welcoming LATAM Airlines Peru on their first Atlanta route, to facilitating more connections through Delta’s largest hub, and to attracting new visitors to the Peach State.”
