Civil & Geotechnical Engineers Invited Landslide & Erosion Mitigation Seminar in Medellín

Next May 28th in Medellín’s Hotel Intercontinental, engineers from around the country are invited to a seminar and workshop on flexible technical solutions for the control and mitigation of geologic and geotechnical risks, led by Geobrugg AG – Warco with support from the Colombian Chamber of Infrastructure’s Antioquia chapter, the Antioquia Society of Engineers and Architects, Volkswagen, The Hotel Intercontinental, and Transportes Montejo.

Themes such as the internal support of tunnels with unique technologies, avalanche barriers for soils in unchanneled ground, and case studies such as the largest barrier in the world will be part of the agenda. Specialists from Spain, Switzerland and Chile will be featured visitors along with leaders from Colombia’s engineering community. They will show how these technologies are creating possibilities and increasing safety as Colombia looks to confront these risks.
