The 199 contemporary guest rooms offer scenic views of the city and surrounding mountain ranges. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities and feature Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree bedding, 55” LCD televisions, spacious bathrooms and signature bath products. The property also features indoor Jacuzzis in select suites.

The property offers a 24-hour fitness center, executive lounge, beauty salon and a spa, which also features a Hydro Circuit including:

Dining

Guests can dine on-property at Ka Restaurant, which offers gourmet international and Colombian cuisine. Travelers can mingle over specialty drinks and appetizers at the bar, before heading to a table to enjoy signature dishes created by Executive Chef Jorge Velez — from salmon tartare with Greek yogurt, caper bumblebees and oriental sauce, to chicken supreme with crispy banana, cape gooseberry sauce and wild rice.

Meetings & Events

For meetings and events, DoubleTree by Hilton Bogotá Salitre AR offers over 11,000 square feet of flexible space. The 12 meeting rooms range in size from a small conference room to expansive ballrooms with a total capacity of 600 guests.

Hilton currently has a portfolio of more than 150 hotels and resorts in 23 countries across the Caribbean and Latin America, with 20 hotels in Colombia. The company is actively pursuing additional growth opportunities and currently has a development pipeline of approximately 95 hotels throughout the region and Hilton has said it plans to add five new properties within the next five years in Colombia.

Each outing consists of two different events, one being a competitive 10K and the other being a more relaxing 3K distance intended for families and others who want to participate without making a major physical commitment.

Coordinated by Fundación Natura and the Grupo Argos Foundation, with backing from Banco de Bogotá and the United States government, among others, the organizers expect some 7,500 runners this year.

After the running is over, the planting begins. Some 22,500 trees are expected to be planted during several “sowing days” in the departments of Cundinamarca (home to Bogotá), Antioquia (home to Medellín), and Santander.  The first two editions in 2015 and 2016 hosted a combined 11,000 runners and led to the planting of more than 40,000 trees.

“This race moves those who support, and the people who participate, for an environmental cause, encouraging conservation through planting trees,” said Ana Alejandra Jiménez, manager of corporate social responsibility at Banco de Bogotá. “Without a doubt, great changes occur when we unite in favor of a common good. We are motivated by the environmental character of the race, the conservation of the forest ecosystems of our country.”
