Optimal Audio, which is a part of the Focusrite Group and specializes in making commercial amplifiers, loudspeakers, and controllers, says that it selected AVCOM in large part for its experienced team, wide customer base, and established presence as a representative of global brands in the region.

AVCOM, a Colombian distributor of products and solutions for the audiovisual sector, has already started training its techs and engineers on the Optimal Audio ecosystem and will receive technical support from Proactive LATAM, which represent the UK brand in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“We’re happy to have partnered with AVCOM, whose knowledge of the audio market in the territory is second to none,” said Dom Harter, managing director of Optimal Audio. “As a new brand, we’re confident that the support of such a highly respected and well-established partner will provide us with the perfect opportunity for growth in the region.”

The company noted that the partnership was negotiated in Barcelona earlier this year at the ISE Show.

According to the leaders of the project, CALA Awards “is given in order to recognize the work of integrators who project the solution of the great challenges that exist in the industry in the future. In addition, by the need to understand the new technological trends and show the enormous opportunity that Latin America and the Caribbean has to achieve a real integration of processes, equipment, connectivity and innovative ideas.”

The following shall be taken into account:

• • The type of cutting-edge audiovisual technologies incorporated in it
  • The degree to which audiovisual technologies positively influence people’s quality of life, optimizing communication and interaction between them
  • The importance that the project could have for the benefit of the region or the country.
  • The works presented may belong to the categories: corporate, commercial, entertainment or government.

In addition, they added: “Beyond these advances, the process of digital transformation of the region, understood as the adoption of technologies and use of digital services by households, production and governments in new areas, such as online access to financial services, electronic commerce, digitization of production and industry 4.0 requires new AV projects with more developed levels of digitization.”

The winner of the CALA Awards FOR The Best AV Project in Latin America 2023 will be announced at IntegraTEC Mexico, which will be held on August 16, 17 and 18.

The ninth annual edition of the conference and exhibition will be held at the Gran Salon in Corferias convention center and feature a special art installation, known as the “Infinity Room,” created by Turkish visual artist Refik Anadol.

In addition to the every-year slate of educational sessions, sales meetings, and networking opportunities, TecnoMultimedia InfoComm 2018 will include six training rooms that will help industry professionals — and those from various other walks of life — up their skills and knowledge in a hands-on setting among video, audio, lighting, and other experts in the field.

These training grounds will focus on the following topics: digital signage, control rooms, live event production, smart homes, audiovisual technology for churches, and technology for education.

As usual, the event will also be held concurrently with two other related conferences, DataNet Andino 2018 and TecnoTelevision & Radio 2018, which will both also be held in Corferias.
