Goldmining Inc., a Vancouver-based mining company with operations in Colombia, has appointed Ken Wang to its board of directors, the firm announced this week.
Wang, who previously served in high-level roles at Royal Bank of Canada and the Bank of China, has two decades of experience working with the mining industry, largely in Asia.
He has been involved in many investment banking transactions, including the $10 billion USD initial public offering (IPO) of Glencore PLC on stock exchanges in London and Hong Kong, said the Canadian company in a statement. He has also been involved in several other hundred-million-dollar transactions.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Wang to our advisory board,” said Amir Adnani, chairman of GoldMining Inc. “His depth of experience and extensive network as a senior mining investment banker and strong geological background will be valuable as we continue to execute our business plan.”
